Their voluminous petals add a touch of elegance and whimsy and are ideal for bouquets, statement pieces and table centres. With a meaning of romance, prosperity, bashfulness and honour this makes them perfect for any blushing bride.

3. Ranunculus

Known for their paper-thin petals and vibrant hues, ranunculus flowers bring a soft and layered depth to all types of wedding designs. A great alternative to roses if you are wishing to be a little different and go rose free! They have a fantastically long availability from autumn to late spring.

Available in a huge variety of colours, including white, blues, pinks, reds and purples, making them versatile for many different colour schemes. Peaking in condition and variety in mid to late autumn they are an absolute winner for weddings later in the year.

There are many varieties of orchids, such as phalaenopsis, vanda and dendrobium. Symbolising beauty and strength, orchids offer an exotic and modern flair. Available in an array of both soft and vivid colours there is always a variety to match your colour scheme. They are one of the best flowers for cascading bouquets or tumbling elegant centrepieces. They are available in a good range of colours from classic white to deep burgundy and are suitable for both modern and traditional designs. They are perfect for adding interesting curves, cascades and linear shapes to bouquets and arrangements and so versatile that they suit all weddings from rustic to contemporary themes.

With meanings of rebirth, eternal love, passion and hope tulips are a meaningful choice for weddings. Their simple yet stunning appearance works well in both bouquets and centrepieces. Available for winter through to late spring weddings in a massive choice of colours they offer a burst of brightness for weddings when there is less choice of flowers. With their cheerful heads and curvy stems they add joy and shape to designs.

Known for their delicate, bell-shaped flowers and sweet fragrance, lilly of the valley symbolises purity and happiness. They are perfect for petite bridal bouquets for a touch of classic elegance. Only available in early spring they offer a wonderful choice for those weddings focusing on seasonal choices.

Offering a sweet fragrance and ruffled petals, sweet peas are a charming addition to any bouquet or small arrangement They come in a large variety of colours and are perfect for a summery vintage or cottage flower theme.

11. Dahlia

One of my ultimate favourites! Known for their intricate petal patterns and variety of sizes, dahlias bring texture and richness to bouquets and centrepieces. They come in a wide spectrum of both bold and pastel colours, making them versatile for any wedding palette. Available from mid summer to mid autumn they are one of my hero focal flowers for weddings from late July to early November.

Their frilled petals add texture, and they are budget-friendly, making them ideal for large arrangements and for use as a secondary focal flower. Often seen as old fashioned but this is quite untrue and look fabulous in on trend weddings, my favourites choices are the shades of apricots and blush.

Symbolising fidelity and optimism, chrysanthemums are available in various shapes and colours. Their full blooms make them excellent for adding volume to arrangements.

13. Baby’s Breath

Known for its delicate, fluffy white flowers, baby’s breath is often used as a filler but can also stand alone for a look of simplicity and charm. It’s budget-friendly too and adds a light, airy feel to arrangements. An on trend look at the moment is using lots of gypsophila paired only with blousy roses, this creates an ethereal whimsical look, which is both airy and classy. It’s available all year round too, bonus!

Available in a wonderful range of blues, which is the colour with the least flower range, other colours are white, pinks and soft purple. That just picked natural look, using an English cottage garden look as inspiration. Some of the trending flowers for this year to achieve this look are garden roses, sweet peas, daisies, scabiosa, dahlia, herbs and trailing flowers and foliage. This wild and whimsical look is romantic, relaxed and unstructured, full of texture and colour. Ideal for garden, festival or rustic weddings.

The Pantone colour of the year for 2026 is Cloud Dancer, a soft shade of white, imagine going all white, no foliage, this sophisticated wow look could be achieved using soft whimsical flowers such as roses and gypsophila, or modern and sculptural using calla and anthurium.
