Beautiful Blooms Floral Designs – Wedding Flowers in the Cotswolds

Wedding Flower Trends for 2026

Wedding flower trends for 2026 see a shift towards natural shaping in designs, using nature as the guide to more asymmetrical designs, which reflects the way flowers and plants grow. We also see bolder designs becoming a feature, using structural blooms such as calla lilies and anthurium. Also trending for 2026 are romantic garden styles which are whimsical and airy. Wildflower arrangements and bouquets emphasizing texture, naturalness and an organic look are also a popular choice this year.

Here’s a deep dive into the floral trends that will shape the year, offering fresh inspiration for your special day.

1. Just picked garden romance, the wild and whimsical

flowers
Wedding Flower Trends for 2026 34

That just picked natural look, using an English cottage garden look as inspiration. Some of the trending flowers for this year to achieve this look are garden roses, sweet peas, daisies, scabiosa, dahlia, herbs and trailing flowers and foliage. This wild and whimsical look is romantic, relaxed and unstructured, full of texture and colour. Ideal for garden, festival or rustic weddings.

At Beautiful Blooms, we’re focusing on:

  • Seasonal arrangements: Prioritizing flowers that naturally flourish during the season.
  • Professionally curated designs: Although these designs have that just picked look, a huge amount of care, attention and design elements are used to ensure everything is perfectly designed and has full on beauty and condition.
  • Keeping it plant based: Using natural materials for mechanics and aiming for 100% compostable. Sustainable florals aren’t just good for the planet; they also enhance the natural beauty of every design, creating arrangements that are as ethical as they are stunning.

2. Bridgerton Vibes

Full on blooms, full on romance and full on floral installations. A shift towards the large blooms such as peonies, delphiniums, hydrangea, garden roses and using bold blooms enriched with textured smaller flowers and foliage is a bang on trend look for 2026. This look is one of my favourites as it’s focus is on the exquisite beauty of full open blooms and the ever astonishing accomplishments of nature.

Key Tip: Combine a selection of a few favourite large flower types alongside a a small selection of smaller textured flowers to create this lush romantic look, this maintains balance and elegance, keeping the look bold and not fussy.

3. Monochromatic colour palettes

10 Breathtaking Wedding Flower Trends That Will Define This Year

Colour trends for weddings in 2026 see a move towards monochromatic palettes, rejoicing your favourite colour, using the tints and tones of your chosen colour adds interest and depth. Think oranges, apricots and peaches, or pinks and reds. What is your favourite colour and it’s tints and tones?

The Pantone colour of the year for 2026 is Cloud Dancer, a soft shade of white, imagine going all white, no foliage, this sophisticated wow look could be achieved using soft whimsical flowers such as roses and gypsophila, or modern and sculptural using calla and anthurium.

Monochromatic designs can highlight the artistry of floristry, showcasing the interplay of bloom size, texture, and depth.

4. Tablescapes full of personal touches and individuality

There are so many exciting ways you can achieve a beautifully personalised tablescape for your special day. At the forefront and heart of 2026 is sustainability. Wedding flowers are an especially important area to emphasize the beauty and fragility of nature and the world. Customers are looking towards floral designs that are natural in every sense of the word, which are authentically sustainable from the inside to outside.

At Beautiful Blooms we make a concerted effort to minimise our impact on the world, using plant and foam free based mechanics, reusable vessels and stands. The arch in the picture above is completely free of single use plastic and foam, instead we’ve used weighted stands, chicken wire and water tubes, all of which are reused time and time again. We compost all our green waste too, read our sustainability page for even more on how we help our world.

5 Secret Tricks to Stretch Your Wedding Flower Budget (Without Compromising Style!)

Hello there! I’m Alex from Beautiful Blooms, and I’m thrilled to share a little secret with you: you can have stunning wedding flowers without breaking the bank. Many couples feel they have to sacrifice style to stay within budget, but with a few clever tricks, you can keep costs down and still achieve a beautiful, lush look for your big day. Here are my top five tips for maximising your flower budget while keeping the elegance you’ve dreamed of!

1. Opt for Seasonal Blooms

Choosing flowers that are in season is one of the simplest ways to reduce costs. Seasonal flowers are not only more affordable, but they’re also at their freshest and most beautiful. For example, if you’re having a summer wedding, flowers like peonies, dahlias, and roses are in full bloom, while winter weddings can showcase amaryllis, tulips, and lovely winter greenery. Choosing seasonal blooms adds a natural charm that feels authentic to your wedding date and location.

When we work together, I’ll guide you through which flowers are in season and suggest gorgeous alternatives if your favourites aren’t available. This way, you can have that lush look you love without the higher price tag that can come with out-of-season flowers.

2. Mix Premium Blooms with Affordable Filler Flowers

A great way to keep arrangements looking full and luxurious without overspending is to blend premium flowers with more affordable filler flowers. Pairing roses, orchids, or peonies with budget-friendly blooms like carnations, wax flowers, or gypsophila can create a fabulous look without sacrificing style.

I also love to use plenty of greenery, which adds texture, depth, and richness to arrangements at a fraction of the cost. Greenery like eucalyptus, ferns, and ivy can give your arrangements that full, lush feel without stretching your budget.

3. Repurpose Ceremony Flowers for the Reception

Here’s a trick that will not only save you money but also allow you to enjoy your flowers throughout the day: repurposing your ceremony flowers for the reception. I always encourage couples to reuse arrangements from the ceremony space as centrepieces, entryway décor, or on the dessert or guestbook table at the reception. This way, your flowers work double duty, creating lovely moments across your entire wedding day.

When planning together, I’ll help you design pieces that transition seamlessly between spaces. For example, large altar arrangements can frame your head table, and aisle flowers can easily be repurposed for the guest tables.

4. Prioritise Statement Arrangements over Smaller Pieces

Instead of spreading your budget thin with lots of small arrangements, consider investing in a few larger, statement pieces. A couple of impactful floral installations, like a flower arch at the ceremony entrance or a striking hanging arrangement over the dance floor, can bring a real wow factor to your day. Statement pieces naturally draw attention, allowing you to keep other décor simple.

Strategically placing statement flowers will give your wedding that stylish, high-impact look without needing flowers in every corner. Together, we’ll decide where those statement pieces will make the biggest impact to create a beautiful, balanced floral experience.

5. Consider Minimalistic Table Settings

Simple table settings can be incredibly chic and budget-friendly. Instead of filling each table with full bouquets, consider minimalist arrangements, like single-stem flowers in small vases or small clusters of blooms paired with candles. These arrangements can look intentional and sophisticated, adding a touch of colour and texture to your reception tables without overwhelming them.

I love creating tablescapes with simple flowers, greenery, and candles for a warm, intimate atmosphere. This minimalistic approach is ideal if you love a modern or rustic look and keeps costs down while still looking effortlessly elegant.

7 Mistakes Brides Make When Choosing Their Wedding Flowers – And How to Avoid Them

Planning wedding flowers is one of the most exciting parts of the wedding journey – but it can also be a little overwhelming! I’m Alex from Beautiful Blooms, and over the years, I’ve helped countless brides in the Cotswolds create stunning floral designs. Along the way, I’ve noticed a few common mistakes that many brides make when it comes to choosing wedding flowers. Don’t worry, though! I’m here to help you avoid these pitfalls so your floral experience is as smooth and joyful as it should be.

1. Not Setting a Budget

The Mistake: Diving into floral ideas without setting a budget is a common trap. Flowers can be one of the most versatile parts of your wedding decor, but without a budget, costs can quickly spiral.

How to Avoid It: Set a realistic budget early on and share it with your florist. I’ll work with you to prioritise arrangements and suggest creative ways to make your budget stretch without compromising on style.

2. Overlooking Seasonal Blooms

The Mistake: Many brides fall in love with specific flowers, only to discover they aren’t available in their wedding season – or are costly to import.

How to Avoid It: Embrace the beauty of seasonal blooms! Not only are they fresher and more affordable, but they also add a sense of authenticity to your wedding. During our consultation, I’ll guide you on what’s in season and suggest beautiful alternatives if your favourites are out of season.

3. Ignoring Your Venue’s Style

The Mistake: Choosing flowers that don’t harmonise with your venue’s atmosphere or colour scheme can create a mismatched look.

How to Avoid It: Consider your venue’s architecture, decor, and natural surroundings. A rustic barn setting may call for wildflowers and greenery, while a modern space might be suited to sleek, minimal arrangements. I’ll help you create floral designs that complement and enhance your venue’s unique character.

4. Skipping the Consultation

The Mistake: Some brides think they can handle flowers themselves or wait until the last minute to plan with a florist.

How to Avoid It: Booking a consultation early on is essential! During our initial chat, we’ll go over your style, wedding theme, and colour preferences, ensuring we’re on the same page. It also allows us to make a plan together, giving you plenty of time to refine your vision and make the most of your flower budget.

5. Trying to Do It All Yourself

The Mistake: DIY flowers may sound like a good way to save money, but they can quickly become a major source of stress on your wedding day.

How to Avoid It: Trust a professional florist to handle the details and delivery. I’m here to ensure your flowers arrive fresh, set up on time, and arranged beautifully, so you can relax and enjoy your day. DIY can be fun for small projects, but leave the big tasks to a trusted professional.

6. Underestimating the Importance of Greenery

The Mistake: Brides often overlook greenery, thinking it’s less impactful than flowers. But greenery can add depth, texture, and a natural vibe that makes floral arrangements feel fuller.

How to Avoid It: Embrace greenery! Eucalyptus, ferns, ivy, and other foliage can enhance your arrangements without adding too much cost. I love using greenery to bring texture and movement into arrangements, giving them a lush, full look that’s also budget-friendly.

7. Neglecting the Little Details

The Mistake: Brides sometimes focus only on the big arrangements and forget about the smaller details like buttonholes, corsages, and table accents.

How to Avoid It: Think about all the little touches that add personality to your day. Buttonholes, corsages, and small table arrangements can add a cohesive look that ties everything together. I’ll help you plan these details to ensure each floral touch enhances your wedding day.
