Meet Alexandra Bolton

Passionate Floral Designer & Master Florist

Let me introduce myself, my name is Alexandra and I am a flower addict! Originally starting my career in Floristry as a teenager in the late 90’s and I still can’t get enough, I have completed seven years of studies gaining various qualifications, including the highest in floristry, the Master qualification, which I achieved in 2024 winning an award for the highest marks in the country. This qualification has enabled me to perfect my craft and career.

I started my first job as an apprentice at a lovely little flower shop where I spent most of my time in a freezing cold room scrubbing dirty buckets and conditioning flowers for the “real florists” to use. Although this was not the most enjoyable thing to do it gave me a thirst to progress and learn the artistry of floristry. I am still completely passionate about floristry and just love being up to my elbows in flowers creating floral designs and working with all the gorgeous floral ingredients the seasons have to offer, I just couldn’t imagine doing anything else, so much so that in my spare time I compete in floristry competitions around the country and have been fortunate to win a multitude of first places and awards.

I’m always looking forward to my next adventure with floristry, whether it’s events, more courses, or competitions.

Our Story

Founded in 2017 near Evesham

Beautiful Blooms Floral Design grew from a simple love for flowers into a full-fledged floral studio dedicated to creating bespoke, elegant arrangements for weddings. With a commitment to sustainability and quality, we’ve served hundreds of couples, transforming venues across the Cotswolds and beyond with stunning, eco-friendly floral designs.

We’re passionate about nature and use biodegradable, compostable, and sustainable materials whenever possible. Every bloom is thoughtfully selected, ensuring our designs are both beautiful and environmentally conscious. We serve a 100-mile radius, bringing our expertise to venues ranging from charming country houses to grand castles, and from intimate gatherings to lavish celebrations.

Sustainability Programme

We are committed to taking care of the environment. The information below gives details on how we are doing our bit to reduce our impact to the Earth. We always strive to improve our sustainability and constantly test, use and research new methods and products as and when they become available.

Recycling

We return all our cardboard, punnets and packaging to our suppliers who have fantastic recycling procedures.

Composting

All our green waste goes into compost bins which are collected to make compost sold in Worcestershire.

Floral Foam

In 2018 we switched to Oasis biodegradable floral foam, when placed in active landfill it decomposes by 91% in 1100 days.

Mechanics

Wherever possible we use no foam at all, instead using recyclable chicken wire and sustainable moss as mechanics to support your designs. This also enables us to create incredibly unique designs.

Biodegradable & Reusable Products

Where possible we use biodegradable trays made from leaves and bamboo for your arrangements. As well as this all of our styling containers are hired to be reused again and again. If plastic trays are used we aim to reuse these at another event or encourage you to repurpose them.

Electric Vehicles & Power

We use electric vehicles to attend all our consultations, site visits and make smaller deliveries. These vehicles are charged using solar panels and solar edge technology which are fitted to the studio.
